Including Payment Terms
Each of your client will have different types of payment terms. For you not to get confused and have problems, it is suggested that you add your payment terms on your invoice. Here is a list of terms you need to know:
PIA (Payment in Advance) – your client needs to pay their invoice before any service is done.
Net 7 (Payment 7 days after invoice date) – your client has a week to pay for their invoice.
Net 30 (Payment 30 days after invoice date) – your client has 30 days (1 month) to pay for their invoice.
Due on Receipt – your client needs to pay for their invoice as soon as they receive it. This depends on the processes their company has in order for the payment to be done.
Processing these payments are not easy and you have to be patient with your client. Everything needs to be logged so that it would be easier for you to find an invoice if you encounter a problem.
